A studio update in time for Friday prayers - a quick one about prayer and calling in what you wish to see in the world. As we call in our purpose, life won’t always go to plan. But it will give us the exact conditions needed to become the person who can carry the work.
There’s a kind of patience that isn’t passive. It’s the work of quiet preparation. The kind that refines the vessel so the light can arrive and not shatter everything on impact.
In this week’s Poem Cast, I speak about the ancestors; the ones whose prayers we’re living in. I speak about the becoming. How every unexpected twist, every delay, every disruption might actually be shaping us into someone more able to carry the thing we asked for in the first place.
Because that’s the thing about desire. It’s not just about receiving, it’s about becoming a match.
We don’t get what we want just because we want it. We get it when we’re able to hold it.
Happy Friday, till next week
